Release status
Ink & Stone is being prepared for the App Store. There is no public download or TestFlight link yet. This page describes the planned launch edition for iPhone with iOS 17 or later.
Free content and purchases
What can I play for free?
The Dojo lessons, Free Play practice games, puzzles, and Chapter 1 are free. The daily puzzle is selected from the puzzle library; it is not a promise of a newly authored puzzle every day.
What does Full Campaign unlock?
Full Campaign is a one-time purchase that unlocks Chapters 2–6. The Shop shows your localized price before you buy. It is not a subscription.
Are cosmetics separate?
Yes. Optional cosmetics change your stones, board, or seal. The Supporter Pack includes Ink Wash Stones, the Night Ink Board, and the Plum Seal. It does not include Full Campaign. Purchases do not change the AI’s strength or a duel’s rules.
Restore purchases and refunds
A purchase is missing. What should I do?
Connect to the internet, open the Shop, and tap Restore Purchases. Use the same Apple Account that made the purchase. This restores eligible campaign access and cosmetics; it does not restore game progress. If access is still missing, email support with the product name and what the Shop shows.
How do I request a refund?
Apple handles billing and refunds. Visit Report a Problem and sign in with your Apple Account. A refund or revocation may remove the purchased access.
Saved progress
Your campaign, lessons, puzzles, inventory, and settings are saved locally. This release does not automatically sync progress between devices. Your device’s backup settings may include app data in an Apple-managed backup, but Restore Purchases is not a save-recovery service.
Deleting the app or using Reset Progress may remove local saves. Contact support before deleting the app to troubleshoot a problem. The developer cannot retrieve a copy of your local progress from a gameplay server.
Game Center and offline play
The solo game works offline. Game Center is optional and provides Apple leaderboards and achievements. Buying or restoring purchases and using Game Center require an internet connection. You can manage Game Center sign-in in iOS Settings.
Live multiplayer is not included in the launch edition.
Reporting a bug
Email your iPhone model, iOS version, and app version (Settings → About), plus the chapter, lesson, or puzzle you were playing. Tell me what you did, what you expected, and what happened instead. A screenshot can help; check it for personal information before attaching it.
